Profile-DSIIDC

Delhi, being the capital, epitomises the entire nation. Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (DSIIDC) has played a key role in propelling the development of Delhi by shaping up the Indian capital, a city of some 10 million people.

Housing for Urban Poor

DSIIDC is the agency of the Delhi Government for construction of houses for Urban Poor. 9660 houses have been completed. The Project has been recognised by Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Government of India.

The Corporation has undertaken a number of deposit works on behalf of various departments of the Government of Delhi: Social Welfare Department

Development and Maintenance of Industrial Areas under Public Private Partnership Model

Delhi has 29 Industrial estates maintained by DSIIDC / MCD / PWD/ other agencies

Re- Development of Vikas Bhawan, I.P. Power Station and DTC Head Quarters and Bus Depot at IP Estate

DSIIDC has been given the mandate to re-develop Vikas Bhawan, I.P. Power Station and DTC Head Quarters and Bus Depot at IP Estate.

Development Works in Unauthorised Colonies

DSIIDC has been entrusted with the work of providing basic infrastructure like roads & storm water drains in unauthorised colonies of Delhi. The work is carried out as deposit work on behalf of the Urban Development (UD) Department, Government of NCT of Delhi.

Status of Housing Projects

Since 1982, for the first time an Industrial Policy is framed for National Capital. The new policy aims to permit sophisticatedly high-tech technology along with IT enabled services. The policy has been drawn with a view to "go green" and make Delhi a global hub for clean high technology industries encouraging eco-friendly industries, generating high amount of revenue without demanding much electricity, manpower, land and water.

The Corporation in addition to its service to the citizens of Delhi by providing industrial infrastructure facilities, supports various social causes of Delhi. The Corporation during the year 2011-12 sponsored Aapki Rasoi Scheme of the Government of NCT of Delhi’s Bhagidari Scheme by providing cost of meal for 300 persons for one year for a Centre operated by M/s Aksaya Patra. The total support by the Corporation for this noble cause was Rs.14,19,600/-. The Corporation supported the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board, Government of NCT of Delhi by providing Modern Fireproof Night Shelters for the homeless people of Delhi especially during the harsh winter. The Corporation provided monetary support of Rs.55,14,000/- and our engineers also provided technical support to DUSIB in timely setting up of the Night Shelters.    View Photographs

Turnover:-
The Corporation has achieved a gross turnover of Rs. 1,112.58 crore during the financial year 2009-10 as against the turnover of Rs. 1,428.68 crore during 2008-09.

The net profit for the year before the provision for income tax for the year is Rs. 44.38 crore as against the profit of Rs. 16.70 crore in the previous year. The net profit for the year after taking into account the provision for income tax and other mandatory tax provisions is Rs. 31.07 crore as against a profit of Rs. 7.93 crore in the previous year.

DSIIDC is one of the implementation agency under (JNNURM) a scheme launched by Govt of India to provide Basic Services to Urban Poors. The Present status of various schemes of Housing approved by GOI is as follows.
