Sheds Constructed Under Half-A-Million Job Programme
The DSIIDC constructed 840 Industries sheds to implement the Scheme
launched by Government of India titled " Half-a-million Job Programme" in the year 1973-74 at various
Industrial Complexes detailed below :

Most of these sheds were alloted to the educated unemployed persons. However some of the sheds were also alloted to the Bussiness Associates of the DSIIDC and other for the purpose of Export Oriented Units.
Initially sheds Half-a-million Job Programe were alloted on lease/licence basic on a monthly rent/licence fee of Rs. 1.10 per sq. ft. approx. However on persistant demand of the allottees. DSIIDC announced Schemes under Hire Purchase basis in the year 1987, 1989. In the year 1994, 1996 & 1998 DSIIDC offered these sheds under Ownership right on cash down basis.

In order to provide infrastuctural facilities to these units, DSIIDC constructed Kiosks, Shops and Canteen block/office space and alloted these properties on monthly licence fee basis to Banks, Post & Telegraph Office and other public Sector Undertakings to cater the daily needs ofallotees of Industrial sheds without travelling to far-off places.
